Electropolishing is often confused with electroplating, but the processes work in opposite ways.
Electroplating deposits a coating onto a metal surface. Electropolishing removes a microscopic, controlled layer from the existing stainless steel surface.
By reducing microscopic high points and surface imperfections, electropolishing can create a smoother, brighter and more uniform surface. It can also reduce small burrs, improve cleanability and support corrosion resistance.
Electropolishing is not a coating. It changes the surface of the existing metal.

We mix and maintain our electropolishing electrolyte in-house. This gives our team direct control over a key part of the process and helps us maintain consistent processing conditions.
Depending on your project requirements, we can also maintain processing records and provide a Certificate of Performance documenting the work completed.
